Hepatitis C is Treatable
We can help cover the cost of Hep C testing, labs, treatment and medications.
Hep C Symptoms and Signs
Hep C testing, more than just a needle sharing virus, should you get tested?
You do not need to use needles or have unprotected sex to contract Hep C. The virus can live outside the body for days or even weeks and can be passed along with the smallest drop of blood on something like sharing nail clippers with a roommate, a hotel maid touching sheets with cracks on their hands, a server touching a glass after the customer had a cracked lip and innocently rubbed their eye before washing their hands. If you think you might have any symptoms of Hep C, call us for an appointment today regardless of your insurance or financial situation!
Hep C symptoms usually show long after the virus was contracted. Sometimes years pass before the virus damages the liver enough to cause the signs and symptoms of liver disease. If you have liver disease, your symptoms might be bleeding easily, bruising easily, fatigue, poor appetite, jaundice, dark-colored urine, itchy skin, fluid buildup in your abdomen, swelling in your legs and weight loss to name a few.
However, acute hepatitis C infection doesn’t always become chronic. Some people can clear HCV from their bodies after the acute phase, an outcome known as spontaneous viral clearance.
